This month-long observance is in response to public interest in nutrition education messages presented as part of the annual campaign from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (formerly the American Dietetic Association) to use the transformative power of food and nutrition to thrive.
The 2021 campaign is Personalize Your Plate. The idea is that there is no one-size-fits-all approach and to provide guidance in creating a healthful eating plan for YOU based on your goals, background and tastes. Meal prepping, gaining new culinary skills and other tips are available to get you on your way to choosing healthful foods that you will enjoy.
